1. Basis and Goals:

1. To shape the students’ maximum potential for creativity through diverse


literary expressions.

2. To motivate the participation of all the students, working to the best of


their effort and abilities.

3. To help students discover their talents and to increase literary


knowledge through a fair and friendly competition.

3. ICTYS Guidelines

a. Presentation (Grades 7 – 8)

The student must give a presentation following the main theme of the
ICTYS. The presentation must be shown to the English teacher, who will
evaluate and approve it.

Evaluation Criteria:

1. Speaking Style
2. Pronunciation Fluency
3. Range of Vocabulary
4. Organization
5. Visual Aids
4. ICTYS:

ENGLISH –Presentation ICTYS

1. Launch: August 15-16

2. Students’ working time: August 20 to August 22

3. Final stage in class (2 finalist August 27 to August 30


per grade)
4. Final stage first and second September 5
grade

1. All students will participate in the modality they have by term, according
to the term ICTYS organization.
2. The participation is to be individual.
3. Pieces of work are to be previously registered on the assigned dates,
according to the detailed information for registration and they must be
approved by the English teacher.
4. Work will be done within the English class.
5. The evaluation of the ICTYS, will be considered for the scoring of the
term.
6. The English teacher will be responsible for the carrying of the ICTYS,
according to the established guidelines.

3. Evaluation

For the evaluation the assessment criteria will be provided by the Head of
the English Department in the form of rubrics.

Important Considerations:

 Every written work must have the corresponding cover page. The
template will be given to the students by the English teacher.
 The presentation of written works is in white paper A4, font Times New
Roman, size 12, double spaced.
 The final written presentations must include their drafts to evaluate the
writing process.
