In Nutrition 304, Nutrition Throughout the Life Span, we learned about the different

nutritional needs and dietary recommendations based on different factors throughout the stages

of life. We learned in detail about all of the different nutritional needs of the different stages of

life from infancy, adolescence, adulthood, pregnancy, etc. This class was really interesting and

unique because of the way the curriculum went into specifics of the nutrients needed throughout

the different stages. I found the section when we learned about menstruation and pregnancy

needs to be the most interesting to me. This information will be useful in the future, because

when I become an RD and a career in the field, I will potentially be working with individuals

from all different stages of life and it is importune to be aware of the different nutritional needs

per individual.

My favorite assignment in this class was the Media Assignment. I found it really

interesting to do research about the misinformation that is out there in the media about nutrition

topics. This helped us learn which researches and media are reputable and trustworthy versus

ones that are not. It will always be a useful skill in this field to know what information is

reputable or not considering the large amount of misinformation in the media about nutrition.

This class was held as a fully in person lecture. We were encouraged to ask questions by

the professor, while we were also always encouraged to participate in discussions. The professor

was very helpful and made the topics easy for us to comprehend. The projects were enjoyable

and I always felt that the exams had information that is really useful and interesting.
