Volvo is one of the main auto manufacturers that have their automobiles globally. Safety is one
of the very major factors that needs to be considered by the automobile industry because when in
a car, you are always exposed to the risk of accidents or mishaps. So safety is very important and
every auto manufacturer aims to set certain safety standards in their cars so they can provide
value to their customers.

In the same manner, Volvo one of the leading companies of automobiles have very strict and set
standards of safety of their vehicles. Before bringing a vehicle on the roads, it has to go through
set of tests and experiments in order to ensure the safety of the passengers. Volvo test their cars
through different crash tests where they make their cars hit at different speeds and see the results.
They use artificial humans to see how the crash impacts them and how the injuries could be
avoided. They have special testing centers where the even make the cars roll over and then see
the impacts. By getting all these results, they then equip their cars with the safety measures and
standards like airbags, auto breaking systems, strong metal body etc. These tests and results have
also enabled Volvo to come with new advanced technology in their cars like for instance if the
distance between two cars is very less and driver has failed to respond or in case of high speeds,
the car will sense this automatically and brake itself. Now all these things and safety measures
lead to Volvo being identified by their safety standards and it contributed to their brand image
and goodwill. This has given Volvo an edge over other auto manufacturers and they win when it
comes to safety strategies.
