ABLOY® EL440 is a fail locked type lock. The lock can be operated with outside

handle when electric control is switched on. When electric control is switched off,
outside handle has no effect on bolts. Inside handle always operates the lock.

ABLOY® EL441 is a fail unlocked type lock. The lock can be operated with outside
handle when electric control is switched off. When electric control is switched on,
outside handle has no effect on bolts. Inside handle always operates the lock.

Locks can always be opened with key.

ABLOY® EL442 is a fail locked type lock which can be operated by outside and inside

handle when electric control is switched off. When electric control is switched on,
handles have no effect on bolts.

Locks can always be opened with key.

APPLICATION, EL440, EL441, EL442, EL443

The locks are suitable for use on doors of commercial premises, office and apartment
buildings, industrial buildings etc. The locks are ideal for exterior doors and interior doors
requiring high security. EL440/441 can be used in emergency exits as the door can always
be opened with inside handle.

The locks can be controlled by a variety of impulse generaring equipments, i.e. card
reader, key pad, push button or timer.
