SOCIOLOGY - AUGUSTE COMTE!

He is known as the Father of Sociology. He was born in 1798. He obtained highly progressive education
from university. But for reorganization, the university was closed. He has some differences with his
family, so he moved to Paris where he started some job. He became student and latter on secretary of
Henry de Saint Simon. Henri influenced his thoughts by introduce him to some intellectual societies.
Comte did a lot of publications there but they are headed by Henri instead of him. So conflict started
between both of them and Comte left the job with him. After that he published his first plan heading
with his name. He failed to get a job and was totally dependent on his friends for financial help. In 1827
he committed a suicide attempt. In 1844, he fell in love with women who were already married but their
relationship remained spiritual. After her death, his love becomes a central reason to set up his religion
so he set up a religion of humanity. His religion was based on humanity and morality of human. He was a
deeply eccentric man. He worked with a philosopher Mill who admired his efforts for religion. His
thinking of religion was a starting point of his observation regarding the discoveries of science enables
one to believe in God. Within the modern world, Facts the discovery of science had the starting point to
carryout blunt observation within the modern world it would be no longer possible for any intelligent to
believe in good. He preferred to work on the education of women, children and dangerous deceases. He
did aside the all religions and starting work with family and its needs in the light of philosophy, art and
science. The outcome of intellectual achievement was a new religion. The religion of humanity and it is
based upon the emotional and intellectual demands of men and women rather than the religion
following in northern India in 400BC.

Volumes of new religion:

Comte presented his new religion in two volumes First part was based upon summary of exposition of
the universal religion and second part was based upon The theory of the future man. He observed the
traditional face of the society that different religion gave the daily or hourly schedules to the people that
they were thinking who or what to think about?.Individual were relating these schedules with holy or
supernatural incidents. So Comte presented his own calendar animated with secular heroes and ideas.
In the religion of humanity, every month was diverted to the honoring field of love, marriage ,parenting,
arts, science and agriculture. Comte was impressed with the of dictating moral values and principles by
different religions. For example how to get marry and what are the social duties and responsibilities.
Comte decided to start classes constituency wise to educate the individuals about their social norms and
values. Comte realized there could be kind heart for the people to share their sorrows, cry and weeps in
front of the vision of kind and sympathy.

Temples for Humanity:

He appreciated the architecture building those only categorize different religions so he proposed the
network of secular churches called as temples for humanity. Inside the temples for humanity there were
lectures, singing and public discussions. Finally above the west facing stage the statement CONNAIS TOI

1857.Nevertheless, like Jesus Comte was followed by his followers. And decade after his death,
