Literacy Narrative Plan

In 11th grade my teacher Mr. Owsley forever helped me change my ways of writing by

enlightening me on how to speak in figurative language. During that time, I had never really

written any meaningful poems, but I had finally learned how. I began to be able to flow with any

expression of feeling or deepening imagery. Later I was able to tie that into my essays as well. It

took a lot of trial and error, harsh criticism, and my drive to improve.

Having the will to want to improve on my writing skills is what has helped me to better

them this whole time. I’m so grateful I was able to go through the failures by having that tough

teacher who didn’t give up on me. He helped me better them instead of just being concerned

about a grade. That experience is what changed me forever to think not just of my essays as a

response to a question, but to respond in a variety of new kinds of flows to keep my writings

intriguing.
