Life was not very easy for the early Pilgrims. Pilgrims. They faced harsh weather conditions, a lack of food, and disease that took many of their lives.
In 1621, however, the Pilgrims had reason

today. The foods and special treats that your family enjoys every November were not available for the Pilgrims and Native stuffing, Americans. Instead of turkey, stu ffing, and pumpkin pie, the Pilgrims more likely feasted on fish and some types of meat and corn. And guess what? Their celebration lasted for three whole days! Can you imagine eating and celebrating for three days?
As the years have passed, we have
continued to celebrate this day to give thanks for the many blessings in our lives. Just as the Pilgrims were thankful for their plentiful harvests, we today have much to be thankful for. What will you be thankful for this Thanksgiving?
