The story goes that the English pilgrims, the first settlers to arrive in the 'New
World' in 1620 and consider themselves the seed of the American nation, faced
all kinds of difficulties to survive during their first year.

Unable to harvest the food needed to feed the Plymouth Colony and ignorant 4
of the conditions of the land and the species that thrived on it, the Pilgrims
faced various periods of famine as winter approached.

Americans that spread to the north of the United States through 30 towns on
