The concept for the “Philosophy of my Life” is endless and it may vary from each

and every one of us. For me, life itself is without a meaning, because it is up to us to
bring meaning to it. The meaning of our own lives depends on whatever it is that we
ascribe it to be. And for me, as a born child into the religion of Roman Catholic, and as a
follower of Christ, I can’t help but to recognize that the purpose of my life is not just to
simply live, but to Love. Because God the Father demonstrated his great love towards
the humanity by sacrificing his only son Jesus Christ. And with this Love that he shared
to all of us, I realized that we should reciprocate this by loving others as well. It does not
mean by getting into an intimate relationship with others, but instead, it’s all about
serving the humanity, especially those who need it the most. For me, the meaning of my
life is to serve as an instrument in creating a positive difference in our society, because I
believe that the best way to know and find your meaning, is to lose yourself in service of
others. And also, I think I have been blessed this life to live so that I can develop more
faith in God’s love, accept it and understand it even more, so that I too, can also accept
and believe love from and for others. I know that we cannot love others as much as God
loves us but this is the meaning and the purpose of my life, to justify my part as a
person created in the image of God.

But life does not simply end by knowing the meaning and purpose of it, but
instead it also includes having a philosophy to be followed and to live by. For me, my
philosophy in life is “Experience is everything.” What we see, what we learn, and what
we do, shapes us all. The lives we live we should make the best out of- “Live today as if
it was your last.” The very experiences we give rise to, are all crucial to our memories,
which we hold onto for the rest of our lives. We should do whatever makes us happy
given that we are not stepping into others and we are not putting ourselves in danger,
provide a helping hand in our community, and aim to make a difference even if we think
of any mark we leave to be of negligible impact. The key points holding us back from
stepping out of our comfort zone are that we’re afraid of failing, we doubt ourselves, and
we tend to give up. The humility which we feel as a result of failures makes us capable
of understanding what we did wrong and places value on the past experience in the
long-run. The point of this matter is that one cannot succeed without having
experienced failure. Also, taking chances doesn’t always hurt. The outcome might
surprise us. Our experiences make each and everyone of us unique and enables us to
tell stories and connect with others, forming bonds, which we’ll come to cherish.
Therefore, the opportunities life tosses at us, we shall take, and that is the Philosophy I
live by.
