    1. Give the classical definition of probability. What do you think could be its limitations?
    2. Show that P(AUB)= P(A)+P(B)-P(AÇB)
    3. If A and B are statistically independent, then show that Ac and Bc are also statistically
    independent
    4. A random variable X has the following probability distribution

    5. For the following density function
    f(x)= c(1-x), 0<x< 1,
    find (i) the constant c, and (ii) mean.
    6. Derive the mean of binomial distribution.
    7. Write down some important properties of a standard normal distribution.
    8. If P(A) = 1/2, P(B) = 1/3, P(A ÇB) = 1/4; find P(Ac ), P(AUB) and P(A/B).
