Happy April, parents and
students! This is a very exciting
time as our class begins a new
unit in science. Unit 4 focuses
on animal parts and the
adaptations they have. In this
unit, students will learn how to
observe, record, and compare
the physical features of
different animals and how that
helps them survive in their
environment. Encourage your
child to explore the outdoors and
see how animals interact with
nature as we begin this new unit.
We will also be having our Earth Day
celebration on April 22nd. This is going to
be a very fun event
where students will
learn about how to
protect our world's
natural ecosystems
and the wildlife that
lives in that
environment. I
encourage all parents to sign up to bring
a snack for that day and to dress in their
favorite GREEN outfits!

April is always a very exciting Apr il 10t h : Field Trip
time in the classroom as it is
field trip month! This year I am

happy to announce that our
class will be heading to the
Museum of York County. As a Apr il 20t h : Museum of
part of our new unit in York County
science, students learned
about animals and their
adaptations. The museum?s Apr il 22n d : Earth Day
Naturalist Center will allow
students to get a hands-on
experience with different
species and their adaptations.
