Critically analyze the Facebook and RIL Jio partnership from strategic point of

view and their respective SWOT analysis.

The world’s largest social media company announced it has invested $5.7
billion for a 9.99% stake in India’s Reliance Jio Platforms,As we know jio is
one of most valuable company with 300m customes& and Facebook is also
one of most used sites in the world.So both company decided under this
deal, They would offers to the cosumers to acces their nearst kirana store,
which can deliver products and services, after transactions via JioMart
using WhatsApp.So how it work the concept is that using using the whatsapp
the consumer can place the order and once order is placed the consumer can
pay through the jiomart.By this deal jio comes in top 5 company with the
highest valuation.

1-Population-We already know after the china india comes in the second
position in term of population.But Before approaching india mark zakurberg
go to china but due to some reason deal not had been done.So then he
approach jio and deal is locked. So by this deal both company decied to
something big And Facebook wants to use WhatsApp for e-commerce
opportunities with small businesses.Like amazon and flipkart cant
compete with jio-facebook because these two company have huge data.

2-Local market- We know when jio has been launced it is not


technology based mainly their target are local customers.After when
jio is succesfull they build the technology in their platform like jio
call,jio cinema and so on.The zurberg want to target the local
customers then he approach the owner of the jio company mukesh
amabani.mark knows jio have the large number of the customers
which help him to connect with local market.

3-LONG TERM VISION- The vision of both company is clear to capture


the domestic market of india because we know jio grab the domestic
market but they don’t have enough technology and facebook have
technology oriented company and it have the huge number of data so
Both company have been merged to do something creative for future
growth.The reason behind they lock the deal is that realince industry
has so many debt so till 2021 they want to be a debt free company and
the mark zukerberg recently launced the payment through whatsapp
but he didn’t get the idea that how to attract people to pay through
whatsapp because in the market already lots of digital payment mode
available like paytm,phone-p,amazon pay and etc.Thays why they help
each other for the future market.

1-What according to you were reasons of failure?
Answer-The reason behind the failure of venturing in QSR is
that may be the people are bored from same type of food.Or
there is less number of variety of food so people those who
visited in the theme park they don’t have choice to order their
favourite food.And we all know very well Indians don’t
compromise with food .

situation?

Q3: What should have been the strategy to counter competitors
like McD, KFC and Dominos ?

Answer-
MCD- exquisite burger, exciting taste, combos, wraps for menu enlarging.
For kids exciting activity toys should be put up in a meal.

KFC- non-veg charisma providing customer services like quick meal, less
waiting time open kitchen. Hygenity freshness may be able to allure kids as
well as adults.
DOMINOS- the cheesy pleasure in every bite providing pizza with nutrition
drinks, rather than cold drinks focusing on health benefits more veggies on
it. Surely many people will get allured by this.
