Essay 3 Outline

Thesis Statement

With this old Hershey’s baking chocolate, we will be discussing the different types of ways

used by the author to get an audience attention. Although there may be many techniques used to

grab and communicate with the audience, I will only be disusing three. The one we will talk about

will be texted, colors, and meaning, and how they are used in the add.

Body paragraph 1

Believe it or not, coloring of any type in an add can affect the mood and the audience that

is attracted.

Example 1- Dark colors manly mean sad so if you are trying to sell something like

chocolate, which is a happy treat you would want to use bright colors to associate with the

item.

Example 2- If a bight happy mood is associated with a product, when a customer

buys the product, the idea is that they buy the bight happy mood.

Body paragraph 2

Text is also a big part of any ad, if used. The different color, font, and size of the text can

change the total outcome of the audience attracted.

Example 1- The font of the text is displayed as if it is coming out at you.

Example 2- The size of the font nearly covers the whole ad. I believe this is done so it is

the first thing seen when looking at the ad.

Body paragraph 3-

Finally let us talk about the overall meaning the ad company is trying to sell to the readers

and consumers.

Example 1- Children are happy, cute, fun-loving people so when the ad sues children, I

believe it is used to get family to buy the product in search of the happy fun family.

Example 2- Also with using cake, the message that seems to be getting thrown out there is

sweet.

Concluding topic sentence-

In the end the ad used bright color, big text, and the sweet feeling of family and cake to get

the attention of viewers everywhere.
