3. Family is a common thing in children life and they start with family names.

facts;” new vocab sprinkled in the text; and selection of information to create/maintain reader’s interest.

ACCURACY – up-to-date research, any sources or references provided, no mixing of fact and fiction.
Explain: although it was published in 2010 the book only presented vocabulary no confusing information is
presented. And I don't think there a need a fact check this one because i don’t think they’d change then
words or what they mean.
INFORMATION –Explain how the book captures a child’s interest: unusual subjects or viewpoints -
personalized content – new perspectives, first-person accounts, and fascinating comparisons.

What does the text explain and how illustrated? The whole book has photographs of real things and i think this is better for children
because they’re learning new words. It's important that they see real life things and not cartoons so that they understand.

identification of vocab use of white and dark space; types of illustrations and placement on both pages:
Not a lot of dark blank space but white space. The illustrations cover the whole page the words are small and
just over the object it is or next to it.

Explain the rating: I loved this book because seeing children interact with it is amazing, once children are
introduced languages they love to recite it back and how you they can remember what they learned.
