Al-Falah Hospital gets approval for COVID–19 treatments

While the world and the country are reeling under the attack of the coronavirus and it is becoming
increasingly difficult to find a place to cure the COVID-19 positive as well as normal patients, Al-Falah
Hospital has put a step forward to render its healthcare with a personal, professional and compassionate
touch.

Al-Falah Hospital, Delhi NCR; has been declared as a COVID-19 treatment Centre by the Government of
Haryana making it amongst the few private hospitals in Delhi NCR. Indeed, it is the first private hospital in
Delhi NCR where maximum numbers of patients were referred for treatment/quarantine. In order to
support the fight against the worldwide pandemic, The Al-Falah University has earmarked 12 newly
constructed staff quarters for quarantine purpose of COVID-19 patients. After acquiring the required
regulatory approvals, for isolation of COVID-19 patients, the hospital has set up a separate ward or unit to
treat COVID-19 patients. The hospital has earmarked 150 beds out of total 300 beds. The Al-Falah University
Hospital has so far treated around 300 corona patients successfully. The team of health workers have been
at the forefront in treating the COVID-19 patients at providing services to the patients 24x7.

Establishment of RT-PCR Lab at Al-Falah Hospital

Al-Falah Hospital has established the RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) testing lab. In
order to facilitate the rapid testing of COVID-19 patients located in and around Delhi NCR. The newly set up
RT-PCR Lab is now accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories
(NABL) and has been approved by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Govt. of India. This further
makes Al-Falah University amongst the few of the hospitals in the region to have a facility for COVID-19
testing. The Al – Falah hospital facilities and approvals do not limit here, as a matter of fact, the university
hospital also meets the requirement of being one of the hospitals which have its own medical institution, Al -
Falah School of Medical Sciences and Research Centre which operates as per the latest guidelines of Medical
Council of India (MCI).

The RT-PCR lab was formally inaugurated by the Commissioner, Faridabad on 26th September 2020. It is
indeed the first private lab in the region that received the required regulatory approvals. The inauguration
ceremony was widely covered by print and electronic media. The Dy. Commissioner in his speech reiterated
the importance of the role of Al-Falah Hospital during the difficult time of pandemic and appreciated their
services towards the nation/state in particular.
