Handrail Assembly

7.2.3 Insert Corner/Segment Link

The Insert Corner/Segment functionality provides the user with the ability to free form sketch
the path or boundary (using the close option) of the Handrail using the graphics of the 3D
view. The system prompts the user in the status bar to graphically pick vertexes or edges
along which the route will updates with each new selection. If the 'Closed' toggle is checked
the system will display the graphics in terms of a boundary definition, unchecked displays a
path definition. The 'escape' key will exit from the free form sketching functionality and the
system will activate the modification options if any further editing of the path or boundary is
required.
To save the route definition to the database, select the Accept Changes link followed by the
Back to Create Handrail link to Create Handrail.

7.2.4 Set Current Vertex Link

Where the user wishes to select a vertex to modify selecting the Set Current Vertex link will
graphically highlight the numbers and position of all the vertexes and the system will prompt
the user in the Status bar to Pick VERTEX to be made current: When the user identifies the
new vertex the system will update the graphical preview to show the 'Current Vertex'. The
user can now perform any of the modify operations.

7.2.5 Move Current Vertex Link

Selecting this link will graphically highlight the position on the Handrail of the current vertex
and the system will prompt the user in the Status bar to Pick position the vertex to be moved
to: When the user identifies the new position the system will update the graphical preview of
the handrail for the user to accept or discard the changes.

7.2.6 Remove Current Vertex Link

Picking this link will remove the current vertex and graphically highlight the new path of the
Handrail which will draw the new path which start and ends at the vertex position before and
after the vertex that has been removed. The system then updates the graphical preview of
the handrail for the user to accept or discard the changes.
