1.0 Wann Muslimah Salon
Management System
2.0 INTRODUCTION

The proposal is about the salon management system for Wan Muslimah Salon. The
purpose of development, the salon management system is to keep track and store a data in
a long time and to provide people an easy access to Wan Muslimah Salon management
system.
Before this Wan Muslimah Salon didn’t have any database system. All the booking
and payment transaction using manual procedure where the staff need to fill all customer
information in the log book. This situation sometime make the information of customer
become redundancy.
To reduce the problem, we provide The Wan Muslimah Salon management system
database. The flow of this system is the customer need to see to the website of Wan
Muslimah Salon management system. If customer interest on the service that Wan
Muslimah Salon provide on the website, the customer will contact with the staff through
WhatsApp application to make the reservation of the services. The staff will log in the
system by staff id, then staff will key in the detail of customer information and the details
of the services that the customer want. The staff will key in the date that customer want to
book and the time duration of the service. After successfully key in the details of services,
booking and the customer details, the customer will make payment through online or
offline payment. Offline payment is a payment will give by customer on the end of the
full services. If through online payment customer will pay on the day customer make a
reservation. After a payment is success, the staff will give the receipt to the customer. The
receipt will give when the customer ends all the services.
The manager can see the report of the salon management during the day or month
through the Wan Muslimah Salon management system. The System database is save all
the details of the customer per day. Finally, Wan Muslimah Salon management system
will make all management in Wan Muslimah Salon become smooth and organized. It also
can save people and staff time.
3.0 PROBLEM STATEMENT
Wan Muslimah Salon did not have any system to help them manage their customer
information and customer booking service. Wan Muslimah Salon only have WhatsApp
application to get a booking from customer and manually write their data in a log book. So,
all the data was stored in a log book. Beside of that, manual salon booking system will
provide services only during office hours so customer have limited time to make any
transaction or reservation of the booking.

Before this, customer did not know about the price of the service in the salon and the
customer have to WhatsApp the staff first to ask about the price of each service. If customer
want to make a booking, customer have to contact the staff of Wan Muslimah Salon by
WhatsApp application. The staff will confirm the agreement of a booking after the customer
had choose their service and date. When the staff confirm the booking, the staff will write
their customer data in a log book. So, staff have to handle a lot of data in their books and
sometime the staff had to see a redundancy about customer information.

Staff also may difficult to produce monthly report or annual report and there will have some
miscalculation in total price per month. It will become slow management and hard to staff
find old record. So that, we provide this salon management system to help Wan Muslimah
Salon to manage their business and generate an accurate report systematically.
4.0 DESCRIPTION ABOUT THE SYSTEM
Aim

The aim of this project is to create and set up a system that helps my client to manage
and run her salon. In order to make the whole process straightforward a project plan has been
prepared. It will discuss the feasibility of the project, as well as the various risks involved.
The project plan will also examine the client’s requirements and the features that need to be
implemented, along with defining the minimum scope required to complete the required
software, and formulating the work schedule for the entire project.

Objectives and Goals:

I. To identify current problem that’s have been faced by Wan Muslimah Salon
when use the manual system before implementing this system.
II. To design solution to Wan Muslimah Saloon
III. To developed salon management system for Wan Muslimah Saloon

 Had to note down, cancel and change appointments along with their
dates, times, services and payments regularly
 They always had to turn the diary pages to search for appointment
details
 Had to always contact/ message the customers via a mobile to
announce the appointment statuses.
 Manual bill issue. All the service details, prices etc. were written in it
by hand.
Strength New System

 As the system is fully automated, it does not require human

efforts in calculating bill and maintain customer’s detail.
 Also it maintains records of all the employees along with their
salary information so there would be systematic way of
payment.
 Saves efforts and time and it is cost-effective.
 Less of human involved
 Flexible scheduling
 Time- slot optimization

Weaknesses New System

 Requires large database

 The admin has to manually manage the inventory section in the
system like what item have been used or sold and what items
are coming.
