    Dr. Jose Rizal used literary works to promote non-violent reform in the Philippines and ignite the minds of the people to seek love and freedom from Spanish rule, as he believed armed revolution was impossible, inappropriate, and disastrous. His writings were very successful, as his execution further opposed Spanish rule and within two years Philippine independence was achieved. To preserve the freedom that heroes fought for, one should study well, do good, inspire unity and patriotism in others so the country maintains a high standard and freedom is preserved.

    EXPLAIN

    1. Why did Dr. Rizal used literary works to ignite the minds of the people in his time to seek love
    and freedom?
    - Jose Rizal is non violent reformist , wherein he is against of an armed revolution he doesn`t want
    violence in achieving love and freedom. So he believes, that armed revolution is impossible ,
    inappropriate and disastrous. So he uses education and hard work in order to achieve love and
    freedom. I think his literary works is very successful because his execution created more
    opposition to Spanish rule and after 2 years of his execution , love and freedom was achieved in
    which the Spanish control over Philippines has ended.

    2. In this present time , what can you do to preserve this freedom that our heroes fought for?
    - Study well, do good in what we are doing. Inspire others toward unity and patriotism so that all
    of us would have the mindset that if we can attain high standard, we can carry our country. Thus
    freedom, we have can be preserved and no one will ever look down to us.
