Challenge
The challenge was to reduce the grease
consumption for the lubrication of the
pellet Press machine in the Plant
without affecting the performance of
the machine and production capacity.
Results
The performance of PETRONAS Grease
LiX EP 2/380 was monitored with the
Technical Team of the Plant. The
lubrication frequency was extended
from every day to every 3 days. The
annual consumption reduced from 24
to 8 drums with a saving of 16 drums
per year. This contributes significantly
to energy efficiency, reduction in
maintenance costs, extended
equipment life and saving on spare
parts.
