Media and Information Literacy really play a big role to us people to make a contribution in our

community and in our country by simply being literate in using information through media.

Media and Information literacy is about being literate and skillful in using media and the information
you gave and given to you wisely and ethically. This could be really a great help to us producers and
consumers of information to become more productive. Productive in the sense that we are effective, we
can understand and we are understandable. With this, we can greatly contribute in developing our
country, developing our country in the track of being known as the great user of media. It is not just
about being known, but also we can contribute information that our community or maybe our country
could use to develop our society. We, as people/person who are using MIL , are more careful in the
information we shared and that we are by doing so, it makes us an effective user of MIL.
Media and information literacy as practiced both personal and professional level has its
significance knowing that professionals share their ideas through chats or posting in their page. With
this professionals, must be vigilant with the ideas they had shared because our workmates may pass
judgment on our ideas and it is not good especially if you are making foundation as an efficient
professional and for instruction professions like teacher, one must be observant in giving information on
the learner and that as a teacher who uses MIL have the responsibility to instill learning not just as a
productive learner but also as a productive citizen, in such view, both the personal and professional level
practicing must use it properly in the sense that we will use this to improve ourselves so that we can
contribute in developing our country, because a development of a country also measures the
improvement of its people.
MIL is an expression of freedom. Becoming media literate and information literate person is to
empower its critical thinking with his or her media experiences and to understand the basic conscious
manner of action. In this sense the right of every individual develops to hold opinions with interference
to inform people and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas throughout any media and
information frontiers.Media and Information Literacy is as expression of freedom of speech/expression
aims to empower citizens by providing the competencies such as knowledge, skills and attitude to
engage with traditional media and new technologies that we usually used today in everyday lives.
people are more integrated with communication to the society that they belong to and to be able to
express and contribute ideas from the person one another for whatever cause that may be and to know
its importance and complexity to the society that needs of communication very well.
It access to know the content and participation in media and communication networks. And so we have
to communicate and understand one another and the role and functions of this media and information
literacy has brought about decisive changes in human communication processes and behavior.
Media and information literacy as tool for civic responsibility and nation building is also
important because our government has regulated laws and this are in need to be known to all the
people, with this, and we can contribute to the community by being a responsible citizen , sharing the
law so that others may be informed. Its been a great challenge for us doing the nation building has been
a great challenge most especially if few of the people who only used medias. But as time passed by,
everyone learned to used media as our way to get inform and to inform, we even use it doing a media
advocacy and others, thus media has a great coverd in our lives or has been a part of our lives ever since
it has been discovered.

MIL can always help us in many ways but we have to remember that we should not only be
skillful in doing so but also we have to promote and develop awareness within ourselves by using it
ethically and used it for one’s productivity and contribute in the community.
