Importance of Media & Information Literate

Information is important because it gives people knowledge. They are information that we can hear and
read in Radio and Newspaper that we can give information of our country. Nowadays people learned fast to
use media to spread information this maybe through Television, smartphone and computer with using
media we can easily communicate through call or chats to have information in our family of friends as we
live in the 21st century social media is the part of life of person because some people use social media to
get some information.

As a student Media and Information will help me a lot because if they have question that I can’t
understand I’ll search in google and the information will be pop up and I already answer the module
because of help of media. And media will help us to communicate specially in Seminarian because it’s the
only way we can talk to the family. As a responsible audience we should pick only the right and valued
information because today many of information is wrong therefore you should check the author and the
source if it’s legit or not so be careful of using social media because the importance of being a media and
information literate person is very important.
Through posting your views and opinions on Social Networking Sites, you can influence and modify
others' perspectives on a given topic or issue if you are media and information literate. Your ideas and
opinions may have a positive or negative impact on the internet community. As media literates, we must be
rational in every action we do on social media. Every action we take on social media is linked to our
accountability. To operate in the world based on the greatest available knowledge, you must be information
literate. To summarize, media and information literacy will transform you into an intellectual receiver and
sender of information across all platforms.

Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression this rights includes freedom to hold
opinions without interference and to seek receive and imparts information and ideas through any media and
regardless of frontiers.
