Reflection about MIL

I have learned many ways during the lessons about the different topics. In the digital era
we communicate in terms of technology and we use smartphones in our daily lives. Examples of
this FB, Twitter, Instagram and more. Media plays a very important role in our society. Without
the help of media, spreading information worldwide will be a lot harder for us. Media help us by
improving our society through online interactions. Media in able us to spread information world
wide easily by just uploading it through a social media app or broadcasting it in a TV network.
Being a Media and Information Literate we can help to improve our society by influencing
others to use media in appropriate ways.

When receiving information from any type of media, we should always remember to
think twice before we react. Being a Media and Information Literate we can help to improve our

before we give our feedback and be practical on how to handle them. Media can have a good and
bad impact on every individual. The information coming from the media helps me as a student
and to be more literate in spreading information which should be accurate and verifiable. As we
know that Media and Information Literacy depend on information to work optimally. I have also
learned that Posting and sharing is a part of our daily routine.

We have the right of every individual to hold opinions without interference and to seek,
receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers
especially when it’s all about our ideal. Being a media user has a lot of responsibility in social
media, we have this new kind of way to communicate with people that’s very immediate,
sometimes alarmingly so, sometimes painfully so. it's up to us on how we manage to control
ourselves not to be taken away by our greediness every time we encounter different types of
issues especially when we are a social media addict. Helping someone to read and write
effectively or acquire the basic math skills so many of us take for granted, improves the future of
everyone in society.
