Propaganda against a German one. What stands out? What were
they trying to do or say? Is it effective? Take notes in groups about

Unshakable, struggling to win.

Explain
Review the notes from the groups of students and listen as they explain
in groups what they’re thinking.
Ensure they follow through with physical notes and highlight where
they are on the right track to thinking critically about what they’ve
seen.

Apply/Elaborate
“What if you were an American or German citizen at the time?”
“Would you be convinced by it? Why or why not?”
“What if you were in a war right now?”

Reflect/Evaluate
“Create a poster as if you were making a belief statement and apply
what you learned from analyzing the others.”
