An Analysis on the Relationship between the Mothers’ Antenatal Care


Record with the Occurrence of Gravidarum Toxicity in
Rsud Dr. H. Moch. Ansari Saleh

Background: Gravidarum toxemia is second highest cause on the death of mother. Through a regular
and qualified ANC visit, the syndrome of gravidarum toxema can be prevented and detected early. The
early recognition is needed so that the suitable treatment can be prepared. Based on the data, the case of
gravidarum toxemia in RSUD H. MOCH. Ansari Saleh Banjarmasin in 2016 occurred on 158 women.
Objecive: The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between the mother’s ANC record
between the occurrence of gravidarum toxemia in RSUD Dr. H. Moch. Ansari Saleh Banjarmasin.
Research Method: The method that is used in this research is analytic survey through cross sectional
approach. The population of this research is the pregnant women in nifas room of RSUD Dr. H. Moch.
Ansari Saleh Banjarmasin. Through purposive sampling, the population is narrowed down into 30
person. The data is analyzed using Chi-square.
Result: There are 13 (43,3%) mothers who had a qualified ANC record and 17 (56,7%) who had a non-
qualified ANC record. The number of occurrence of gravidarum toxemia in RSUD Dr. H. Moch.
Ansari Saleh Banjarmasin in 2017 is 13 (43,3%) and the mothers who do not have gravidarum toxemia
is 17 (56,7%). Based on this analysis, the researchers obtained the score of p = 0,007 < ∝=0.05.
Conclusion: Statistically, there is a relationship between the mothers’ ANC record and the occurrence
of gravidarum toxemia.
