THE LUKE MCCALLION SHOW

WRITTEN BY

JACK O'HARA

1 INT. TELEVISION STUDIO - DAY 1

The lights are dimmed. The camera starts wide as LUKE, the
presenter of the broadcast, walks into frame. As he walks
into frame and finds his position, it cuts to a close up of
LUKE. Then, the lights will fully switch on, allowing the
viewer their first look at our presenter.
LUKE
We're coming to the end of the year,
and what a year it's been. Though, I
don't mean that in a good way. For
most of us, it's been a year to
forget. A year of struggle, some
would say. However, today's guests
are some of the few that have been
strong enough to persevere through
that struggle, allowing their
creativity to flourish. Today, we
welcome to the show [GUEST NAMES]
Camera cuts to a wide shot again. GUESTS enter the frame and
are offered a seat by LUKE. Once they are seated, LUKE will
ask them to introduce themselves and what they do. Each time
LUKE or GUESTS speak, they will have their own close up shot.
Wide shots will be kept for beginning and end.

LUKE
As we can see, you've been rather
busy over lockdown. It's great to
see people taking initiative and
spending their time wisely. Would
you like to introduce the piece that
you've brought to show today?
Once LUKE asks the guest the question, GUEST will get their
own close up as they answer the question.
LUKE
I think we've talked enough for now.
Why don't we let the people enjoy a
clip of [INSERT TITLE HERE]?
Clip rolls. After it's done, cut to the wide shot before
giving LUKE another close up.
LUKE
I'll be the first to say that it's
amazing that you've been able to
create a piece such as [TITLE] while
under lockdown. Did you have any
trouble making your project in these
new conditions?
Guests will get their close up as they talk about their film
and how it was to create it in lockdown. Afterwards, Luke
will get his close up again.
LUKE
Crazy times, isn't it? Though, it
seems like it's business as usual
for everyone involved in [TITLE].
It's nice to know that you can still
work your magic. However, I do want
to ask, how did you come up with the
idea for the project? What made you
go down that path?

Again, the close up will go from LUKE to GUESTS as they

answer his question.

LUKE
(pretending to write on
his hand)
Very inspiring. I'd like to think
that people at home are starting to
take notes. Though, for my final
question, I'd like to ask for one
thing you've learned through making
[TITLE]. It can be anything at all,
3.

just something you've learnt

throughout this process.

Once his question has been answered, the camera will cut to a
wide shot again, with LUKE getting up and escorting GUESTS
off of the screen. Once, they are gone, he will regain his
close up.
LUKE
And that's all we have for today,
folks! I hope you enjoyed [TITLE]
and [GUEST NAMES] as much as I did.
If so, please make sure to check out
their future work. I'm sure it'll be
just as good, if not even better!
This has been the Luke McCallion
show. We'll return next week with
another guest, so stay tuned for
that, too! Goodnight, everybody!

Camera will cut to a wide shot of the set as LUKE waves

towards the camera. Music will play before fading to black.
