I bring you warm greetings from Integrated Disabled Women Activities- IDIWA Uganda and I
hope this communication finds you well

As you are aware, Mayuge District Local Council enacted and passed the Local Governments
(Mayuge District) (Persons with Disabilities) (Employment) Ordinance in 2018.
I am happy to inform you that IDIWA followed up the ordinance to ensure its successful review
and approval by the relevant ministries including Ministry of Local Government and Justice and
Constitutional Affairs and printing by the Uganda printing and publishing corporation
This letter therefore serves to invite you to the launch of the ordinance on 12 th November 2020
at Mayuge District Headquarters compound starting at 8:00am. During the event the tools for
monitoring implementation of the ordinance will be shared with stakeholders and beneficiaries.
