Warmest Greetings!
RI, in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), intends to provide technical support in
promoting acceptance and uptake of the Covid Vaccination in Region 9 through Risk Communication and
Community Engagement (RCCE), Water and Sanitation Hygiene (WASH), Health and provide technical support in
promoting acceptance and uptake of COVID-19 vaccination and WASH in Schools (WinS) from January to Sept
2022.
Our planned results are to:
ü Support in updating and/or developing evidence-based demand generation plans for COVID-19 vaccination
program.
ü Conduct training for health workers, volunteers and other frontline workers on risk communication and
community engagement (RCCE).
ü Facilitate briefing sessions for LCEs (Local Chief Executives), local officials, local or community-based
organizations, and other interest groups that can provide support in raising awareness about COVID-19
vaccination and practice of minimum public health standards.
ü Printing/distribution of IEC materials and tri-media support (e.g. radio, TV, social media, bandillo, recorrida,
etc.).
ü Support in strengthening and/or establishing feedback mechanisms and social listening
ü Strengthen support to local implementation of Facility-based Community and Home-based isolation units
ü Extending WASH supplies and services to support effective infection prevention and control management
in vaccination sites, health care facilities and COVID-19 and quarantine and isolation centers
Concerning the above-mentioned activities, we would like to commence coordination with your office to kick-off
the regional engagement and as we will soon be deploying the project implementing team.
In this light, we would like to conduct a courtesy meeting with you and/or the Municipal Health Officer to introduce
our team and discuss initial steps. We can set the Courtesy Meeting on February 8, 2022 at 2:00pmm, if you are
