MEETING 11 MAKING A CONCLUSION

In LISTENING SKILL, you can conclude the conversation using 6 Wh-questions


FORMAT OR you can USE THE FOLLOWING FORMAT that is THE RED-LINE
(garis besar) of it, THEY ARE:
1. The introduction;
2. The speakers involved & the topic discussed;
3. The problem arisen;
4. The solution of the problem;
5. The conclusion of the conversation based on the speakers’ reaction.

There is a step to memorize the detailed data of the recorded information. Mind mapping
will help you to memorize details stated. When you hear a talk, conversation, news, or
announcement, you must try to find the answers of the questions which consist of Who,
What, When, Where, Why, and How. Then, in your mind, you draw the map, so you can
memorize the answer of the questions.

A student named Kristal go to the administration office to complain about her semester
payment. She tell the secretary about the system announce that she hasn’t finished her semester
payment. But in case, she has already pay the semester payment since five days ago. The secretary
try to check the system again. Evidently the payment officer turn wrong to write Kristal’s name, so
this is the begining of this problem.

project. But one of the student have some part-time work, so he can’t go on the appointed day.
Than they discuss again to make a deal about the day to do that poject. Finally, they found a deal
to do their project on Sunday at 4 pm.
There are the disscusion in the class about American history. The teacher is explain
about the American rail road history. Rail road has a very long history until it arrived in this era.
From made of simply object to functioned in american civil war. So, rail road has a long history
of transportation development in America.
