    HOW TO ACCESS TRAINING LINUX SERVER IN CLOUD

    1. Download and Install putty from https://www.putty.org/


    2. Open putty. Refer the dialog below which appears.

    3. In the dialog, enter Host name and Port as in dialog below. Click on “Open” .
    4. Then click on Category on left, click on “Connection→Data” and then in Login. Refer the
    dialog below which appears.

    5. In dialog, enter details as below.

    Auto-login username: <traineeId> given to you.


    6. Click on “Open”, you will get login prompt as like below.

    7. Enter login password shared with you.


    8. After entering credential, you are logged in to the server. Refer the confirmation screen as
    below.
    9. You can execute the commands from the prompt now.

    How to change the password?

    1. To change the password, from command prompt enter “passwd”. Refer dialog below, which
    prompts for current password.
    2. After entering current password, enter the new password twice to confirm. Refer the
    screenshot below.

    3. Your password will be changed and confirmed. Refer the screenshot below.
    [Note: New password cannot be same as old password. Do remember the new password as
    otherwise password reset requires IT support]
