INTRODUCTION :

India is the third largest startup hub (Reference 1) in the world but studies of IBM Institute for Business
Value and Oxford Economics show that 90% of the startups in India fail within 5 years of
inception(Reference 2). While the Government is encouraging startup culture there is no single innovative
startup in India which went on dominating markets internationally so far. This research aims at analysing the
capability and interest of Indian youth in startups to understand deep causes of failures of startups in India.
