Chapter-1 Introduction
Clothing Store Controller is a clothing store management system . Stock management is the
practice of ordering, storing, tracking and controlling inventory. Stock management applies to
every item a business uses to produce its products or services-from raw mterials to finished
goods. In other words, stock management covers every aspect of a business’s inventory. Stock
management may also be called stock control, inventoy management, or inventory control.
Inventory is basically the total amount of goods and materials held in stock by a factory, store
and other business. An inventory system is a process whereby a business keeps track of the
goods and material it has available. Today’s competitive environment is forcing companies to
optimize the procurement processes and inventory levels while at the same time ensure accuracy
of controls and implementation of standard procedures for the flow of materials. However, in the
absence of appropriate systems and information infrastructure, companies are finding it difficult
to achieve smooth and efficient.

1.1 Problem Statement

Some of existing system is manual to keep transaction record of the inventory. People still prefer
to follow the manual method to keep the record. We have found that employees first of all record
all information in there ledger. They are using to keep the record of stock purchase, inventory,
etc. Following this method is very time consuming and tedious. It has many drawbacks as there
may be mistakes while recording large data and this may disrupt the important transaction.
So, in this project we are trying to make stock management system which will help employees to
keep record of inventories in systematic way and help them produce report about the inventory
or stock currently available in their department in automatic way to help then decision making
about the stock etc.

1.2 Objective
Objective of the project is to develop stock management system to ensure efficient and timely
identification of vital corporate assets.

 To provide Inventory System access to all necessary personnel.

 To provide a full range of reports that will satisfy informational requirements.
 To reduce labor of inventory management, centralize control and automation.
 Develop an automated system that will be able to record, store, retrieve and generate
reports of inventory useful to management in decision-making.

1.3 Scope

The scope of inventory control is as follows:

1
1. Determination of economic order quantity

2. Formulation of policy

3. Determination of lead time

4. Effectiveness towards running of store

5. Organization Structure

6. Determination of safety stock

7. Minimum material handling and storage cost.

1.4 Limitation
 User must be feasible to work with technology.
 Internet will be mandatory.
 It will not allow peoples to directly communicate with each other i.e. no chatting among
themselves.

Chapter-2 Literature Review

[1]In today’s world every business tries to strike a balance in inventory between what is needed
and what is demanded, considering the major factor of cost cutting/reduction. This control is
called Inventory management or inventory control. [2]Inventory is basically assets (goods and
materials) which are stock of any business. [3]Inventory management focus on the capacity of
the inventory, the place in which it is located so that one can use it when needed, the supply
chain management of the raw materials and goods. [4]Inventory management deals with the
demand forecasting, asset management of the raw materials and goods, inventory carry cost,
forecast, pricing of goods, validation of goods, to forecast the demand of future. [5]This helps
the top level manger to understand and coordinate with the supply chain management or
production management, and quality management.

Chapter-3 Methodology

3.1 Research
3.1.1 Internet Research
Different web applications will be the part of our research. We will analyze the services they
offer and the features these applications could not address. This research will help us to gain vital

2
information and data obtained from the research and will help us significantly in the design and
development of our web application.

3.1.2 Field Visit

We will visit various business areas like local markets,supermarkets,e-commerce sites, large or
small scale companies for the collection of informations which will be used to create dataset.
Moreover, we will interact with people who are working in the field of stock management to
gain information about their experience. The information will be crucial to the development of
the system.

3.3 Feasibility Analysis

Feasibility Study must account for factors that affect it such as economic, technological, legal
and scheduling factors. Following Feasibility Analysis was performed prior to working on the
project:

3.3.1 Technical Feasibility:

Our web application is technically feasible; complies with current technology, including both the
hardware and the software. The Web application is supported by almost all the latest web
browsers, and most of all, it can be run on modern day systems.

3.3.2 Operational Feasibility:

Our project solves problem faced by the target group that was underlined as the problem
statement. The target users can look up to the web application if and when the problem arises.
Furthermore, features such as rich information density, efficiency and cost effective is testament
to the fact that the web application is operationally feasible.

3.3.3 Economical Feasibility:

Our web application is available and accessible via the internet which makes it economically
feasible. Users only require an Internet Connection to access contents included in the web

3
application. Moreover, there are no charges of any sorts associated with contents in the web
application.

Chapter-4 Conclusion
Here we conclude that, the primary goal of our project will be achieved at the end of the
scheduled time. Our project will be able to keeps track of the goods and the materials. It will be
able to help employees to keep record of inventories in systematic way and help them produce
report about the inventory or stock currently available in their department in automatic way to
help then decision making about the stock etc. This project will help people to modernize the way
of managing the stock.
