Dialogue / Conversation

The time was right, it was 7 o'clock in the morning, the seats in the classroom were filled with
6th grade students who were carrying out exams solemnly. Among all the students, there were 2
rows of benches next to the left and right, as well as front and back, where four students sat
there, namely Pepeb, Tomi, Tina, and Majun. Tina sits in front of Pepeb, while on the bench
opposite Pepeb's right sits Tomi behind Majun.

They seem serious about working on the problems that are considered the most difficult and
complicated, namely Mathematics. Tina seemed to be smiling because she felt she could do all
the questions well.

Tina : (Doing questions number 1 to 3 quickly by thinking quickly means you have mastered
them all) Well, I know the answer! Aha! This is the formula I learned yesterday, here.

Meanwhile, a different atmosphere appeared across Tina's right,

Majun: (scratching his head with a pencil tip so that he does not feel that the tip is broken).
Ouch, how is this! How hard is it so, which is not the same as the practice question I cheated
from Tina yesterday! (The Majun then turned his head slightly towards Tina, he tried to glance at
Tina's answer by squinting so as not to be caught cheating).

When Majun lifted his neck to see Tina's exam answer sheet clearly, suddenly ..

Tina : (Crackle! He immediately turned to the right, and saw Madun with a cynical look). (Then
Tina muttered softly with her mouth to threaten the Madun silently).

Madun : You cheapskate! (whispers softly then turns to the Pepeb who sits behind Tina)

Pepeb looks very serious about working on the problems, even though in class he has never won
1st to 3rd place, but is still included in the top 5 in the class. Because Pepeb was classified as a
diligent student, Majun tried to cheat his test answer sheets too.

Pepeb : (is seriously calculating the answer to question number 10, he does not care about
anything and anyone, including the Majun who is cheating)

Majun : Wow, this opportunity! While the teacher is going to the toilet, please! (He straightens
his body and head and tries to find the right position to be able to see the entire answer sheet
Pepeb) Yes, it worked! (Majun managed to get the answer to question number 5 then the Majun's
answer sheet was circled)

Time is moving fast, the exam hours are running out, Madun has only just filled in up to 6 out of
15 math questions whose models have never been met in various previous sessions. He was still
busy looking left and right without stopping. He has a target to be able to survive at least in rank
2. He is actually smart and smart but he is lazy to study, while during exams he always manages
to copy the answers of the students he thinks are the smartest.

He has been doing it since he was in 4th grade of elementary school, and his behavior has
succeeded in making him a defending student in 2nd place. This is because his classmate is very
smart and reliable so far. However, when he was in grade 6 his classmate died because of an
accident, then now his seat is with Tomi as suggested by the teacher. Majun knows that Tom is
not very good at subjects, because he is an expert in sports.

Now that the exam is in progress, the seats during the exam must be separated, and each person
is required to sit on one seat alone. Majun became increasingly difficult, especially when his
classmate who sat in the back was unreliable. However, Majun also realized that time was
running out, he was even more confused and amused, because he could not answer a single
question on his own. Everything he filled out was based on his friend's answer.
When Majun managed to copy Pepeb's answer sheet, he was very happy. Meanwhile Pepeb only
let the Majun because he was not aware he was being cheated.

Tina : (Suddenly Tina turns her head back on Pepeb, then whispers) Shhhh! Feb, Feb! Beware
that your answer sheet is copied by the Majun, don't let it be! "

Pepeb : (a little shocked and spontaneously looked at the Majun, while the Majun immediately
looked away from him. But Pepeb still looked dumbfounded because he was confused about
what had just happened)

Pepeb's silent behavior while gawking slightly made the teacher suspicious and reprimanded
him.

Teacher : Pepeb! Why are you stunned? The answers are all filled in? (While walking towards
Pepeb's seat)

Pepeb : (a little surprised, then answered the teacher's question with a little stutter) Ah, yes sir,
already, sir! (The whole class was even more surprised because Pepeb was the only student who
had finished taking the exam questions that were considered the most difficult. Likewise with
Majun, he was even more confused and did not think that Pepeb finished so quickly.

Pepeb : (standing with the exam answer sheet and questions in front of the teacher's table, then
he took his pink bag beside the teacher's desk. He put the pencil and eraser in the bag, then at the
same time said goodbye to go home to the teacher)

Majun : Oops, how about this! (Majun stuttering while looking sideways and backwards. Then
he saw Tom's answer sheet wide open and he could see) Why does it have to be Tom? At this
rate I can't get into the top three, here. (He turned back to face his own chair, because he was still
hesitant to cheat on Tom. Majun's answer which was still empty was 9 numbers, he looked at the
answer sheet many times while holding his head with a worried expression.)

Tina : Go ahead, Jun! (He smiled while standing with the question and answer sheet, while
Majun only glanced at him with a cynical look)

Tomi : Yeah, almost done, bye bye! (He was very excited to circle the answer sheet that was
missing 2 more numbers)

Majun heard Tom's murmuring, then without thinking anymore he stole the opportunity to look
back without the knowledge of Tom.

Majun : (busy circling answers quickly because there are only 5 minutes left) Thankfully,
almost full! (murmured the Majun, then he made up the answer of the last two numbers because
he could not fully trust Tomi's answer).
The day for the distribution of test scores arrived, all the students couldn't wait to see the results
of their struggles for this exam. While the Majun actually put on a gloomy and resigned face, he
felt that the exam this time was really chaotic, not only in one subject, but in almost all subjects.
He wanted to go home immediately without knowing the results of the exam.

A few moments later the teacher called out the names of each student along with the scores they
received.

Teacher : Tina Setiowati, got a score of 85 (accompanied by loud applause), Tomi Stianto
Kurniawan 80 (the applause was even more festive because Tomi rarely got a score above the
minimum passing threshold), Pepeb Puspita Prapti 95 (more festive, Pepeb's face was very happy
and cheerful to hear the results of the exam),

Majun Mauri (teacher is silent for a moment) 50, (then the class is suddenly quiet)

Majun : (forward while lowering his head)

Teacher : Majun! What is wrong with you? How can your grades drop like this?

Majun : Don't know, Sir (In his heart the Majun really regretted his actions and promised to
study hard at the next stage).
