Geriatric nurses must enjoy working with older people. They must be patient, listen extremely carefully
and balance the needs of their patients with sometimes conflicting demands from family members.
While occupational therapists work to treat patients from head to toe, speech therapists are more
narrowly focused on treating complications that affect speech, language, and swallowing abilities
📌 orthopedic surgeon - Orthopaedic surgeons are devoted to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment
of disorders of the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles. Some orthopaedists are generalists,
while others specialize in certain areas of the body, such as: Hip and knee.
📌 geriatricians - A Geriatrician provides health care for the elderly. Geriatricians diagnose and treat
illnesses, as well as injuries that occur among the elderly, and health problems such as diabetes and
cancer
📌 anesthesiologist - the primary roles of anesthesiologist during surgery are to: Provide continual
medical assessment of the patient. Monitor and control the patient's vital life functions, including heart
rate and rhythm, breathing, blood pressure, body temperature and body fluid balance
📌 social workers - Social workers are responsible for helping individuals, families, and groups of people
to cope with problems they're facing to improve their patients' lives. One aspect of this is teaching skills
and developing mechanisms for patients to rely on to better their lives and experiences.
📌 physical therapist - Physical therapists are movement experts who improve quality of life through
prescribed exercise, hands-on care, and patient education. ... Physical therapists examine each person
and then develops a treatment plan to improve their ability to move, reduce or manage pain, restore
function, and prevent disability
