Service Project: Contouring Video

For my service project I have created a short video about what contouring is and why it
is important so that future students can get an idea for what contouring is about. I think that
contouring is a very large part of what we do on a daily basis and that accurate contouring is
essential to an accurate treatment plan. When new students or prospective students are
looking into our program, a lot of the information may be new. This video and powerpoint will
hopefully help them get an idea for what they should expect on the job. As part of a request
from our instructors to create short videos detailing different aspects of dosimetry I thought
this would be a great addition to what other students have made for their service project. I had
a little difficult time making this presentation because I wanted to keep it short but also wanted
it to be informative. There was also the problem of being able describe the process and make it
easy to understand for students without therapy backgrounds. I hope that I was able to
accomplish that in my presentation and had fun making it.
