MALTA

Service spectrum AIRCRAFT SERVICES

Initially specializing in C-checks and extensive aircraft modifi-
cations, the company has meanwhile significantly expanded Line maintenance
the range of services offered following the construction of a ▪ A318, A319, A320, A321
hangar complex amounting to a total of 61,000 square me­ters ▪ 737 NG
of floor space. Today the range of services Lufthansa Technik ▪ A330, A340, A350
Malta offers includes structural work, the repair of composite
materials, interior work and aircraft parts painting. C-checks
▪ A318, A319, A320, A321
The Lufthansa Technik Malta facility employs over 600 ▪ 737 NG
personnel, approximately 150 of which have completed ▪ A330, A340, A350
aviation related training at the acclaimed Malta College of
Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST), with further IL/D-checks
regular groups of MCAST trainees undergoing on-the-job ▪ A330, A340
training on the shop floor.

In focus: Narrowbody and widebody overhaul

At present, the facility operates three narrowbody and three ADDITIONAL SERVICES
widebody aircraft overhaul lines providing line and base
maintenance services for the Airbus A320 family, A330, ▪ Structural repairs
A340 and A350 as well as the Boeing 737 NG aircraft types. ▪ Composite repairs
▪ Engine borescoping

Thanks to its strategically favorable location in the Medi­ ▪ Cabin services
terranean close to the African continent and the Arabian ▪ Non-destructive testing (NDT)
Peninsula, and the significantly expanded service and product ▪ Aircraft modifications
portfolio, Lufthansa Technik Malta is well equipped for the ▪ Service Bulletins

the minimal turnaround times achieved, Lufthansa Technik ▪ Logistics
Malta will be able not only to consolidate its competitive
