Ratio Control

Name: Milan Poudel

Roll No.: 176226
Observations and Graphs:
1) Step Input: For this analysis Servo Response of a Ratio control system when the Product
Temperature (Tp) (set point) was changed from 50 C to 42 C in a step manner by keeping the
other parameters constant, Cold Water Inlet Temperature (Tc = 30 C), Hot Water Inlet
Temperature (Th = 70 C)
a. Step input: The setpoint Tp changed form 50-48 0C and the following graphs are
obtained:

a) Product Temperature ( C) vs Time (sec)

b) Product Flowrate (m3/sec) vs Time (sec) c) Evaluated Ratio vs Time (sec)

d) Hot Water Flowrate (m3/sec) vs Time (sec) e) Cold Water Flowrate (m3/sec) vs Time (sec)
b. Step input: The setpoint Tp changed form 50-46 0C and the following graphs are
obtained:

a) Product Temperature (_C) vs Time (sec)

b) Product Flowrate (m3/sec) vs Time (sec) c) Evaluated Ratio vs Time (sec)

d) Hot Water Flowrate (m3/sec) vs Time (sec) e) Cold Water Flowrate (m3/sec) vs Time (sec)
c. Step input: The setpoint Tp changed form 50-44 0C and the following graphs are
obtained:

a) Product Temperature (C) vs Time (sec)

b) Product Flowrate (m3/sec) vs Time (sec) c) Evaluated Ratio vs Time (sec)

d) Hot Water Flowrate (m3/sec) vs Time (sec) e) Cold Water Flowrate (m3/sec) vs Time (sec)
2) Impulse Input: For this analysis the servo Response of a Ratio control system when the
Product Temperature (Tp) (set point) was changed from 50 C to 45 C and again back to 50_C
in a pulse manner (with 13 seconds interval) by keeping the other parameters constant, Cold
Water Inlet Temperature (Tc = 30 C), Hot Water Inlet Temperature (Th= 70 C) and the
following graphs are obtained:

a) Product Temperature (C) vs Time (sec)

b) Product Flowrate (m3/sec) vs Time (sec) c) Evaluated Ratio vs Time (sec)

d) Hot Water Flowrate (m3/sec) vs Time (sec) e) Cold Water Flowrate (m3/sec) vs Time (sec)
