Does being a right or lefty baseball player affect the distance of the average throw?
Tons of people always wonder if righty or lefty baseball players throw the ball further on
an average throw. To see how far they throw the ball they need to stretch which is so you don’t
get hurt while playing. You also have to know how baseball dynamics work so they will not get
hurt while throwing a baseball. We will be comparing righties and lefties and which group of
people throw the ball further on the average throw. Many people that are baseball players always
wonder if righty or lefty baseball players throw the ball further on the average throw (National
Geographic 1).
Many people wonder whether righty or lefty baseball players throw the ball further.
There are lots of things that can affect who throws the ball further but one of the most important
ones is the human body. One of the big things about the human body is the height of the person
(Shelledy 1). That is one of the most important things to talk about because if somebody is very
small and somebody is very big chances are that the bigger person is going to throw the ball
further. Another reason is the weight of the person. This is a big factor because if somebody
weighs a lot more than the other person chances are the heavier person will throw the ball further
(Baseball Dynamics). The last factor is the purpose. That is a big factor because if somebody
tries to throw the ball really far and the other person doesn’t try to throw it that far the person
that tries to throw the ball harder will throw it further ( Baseball Dynamics 1).

Some people but mostly baseball and softball players always wonder whether righties or
lefties throw the ball further on the average throw. First you would need to have lots of people to
test the average throw of all of the people so you could know what the average person could
throw the ball. The other thing that you have to take into consideration is what ball you are using
to throw with. You would need all of the people throwing the same type of ball in the same type
of situations like weather. The last factor is the structure of the ball that you are using ( Rolen 2).
You will need to use the same ball for all of the same throws because you cannot use a different
The last huge factor to see if righties or lefties throw the ball further on an average throw.
One of the biggest factors by far is the baseball mechanics. In the experiment you will need lots
of people that know how to throw a baseball really well so that the experiment works at the most
accurate thing (Baseball Dynamics 1). They will also need to have the same structure of the
person from when they throw the ball and where they throw the ball from (Hiterrish 3). The last
thing is the force they put into the ball because if you have someone not throwing the ball as hard
as they can and then you have someone that is not even trying to throw the ball hard at all then
Does being a right or lefty baseball player affect the distance of the average throw? Most
of the people think that righties will throw the ball further, but you never know if the lefties can
throw further. But first you need to stretch your body so you don’t get hurt from throwing too
hard. The last example is that they have to see who is ready to throw first righties will throw the
ball further.
