Third conditional. (hypothetical situation in the past).


I WOULDN’T HAVE ARRIVED LATE IF I HAD GOT UP EARLIER.
IF I HAD GOT UP EARLIER, I WOULDN’T HAVE ARRIVED LATE.
IF PAST PERFECT + WOULD / WOULDN’T HAVE + PAST PARTICIPLE

Past perfect: had / hadn’t + past participle: had got up


Conditional Perfect: would / wouldn’t + have + past participle: wouldn’t have
arrived late.
