SAMPLING METHOD – The sampling method we used is the stratified random sampling wherein we

divide our population into group or it is sub-divided into small homogeneous groups that based on some
judgement or pre-identified proportion. Our population are those people who are in need of eye health
care and divided according to their gender and age. In the population of the whole NCR, we selected
from the whole area those sub-areas based on their common characteristics and attributes and
randomly select individuals for the collection of data from there.

SAMPLE AREA - the whole area which is the metro manila is divided into small sub-areas which are
clustered randomly or according to their population. We considered the whole NCR but we focused on
the 7 cities named Manila, Makati, Pateros, San Juan, Quezon City, Las Pinas and Taguig which we think
could have a higher demands. These areas represent the general capacities of the population and their
willingness to avail the service. On each stated areas, data will be collected on unbiased estimates
according to their age group and gender.
