The study states that accounting firms can use collaborative communication to build better
relationships between firms, to manage and to create a better relationships with the clients.
The study also provided evidence that using effective communication techniques can help
increase the client satisfaction and decreases the client conflicts. In spite of the numerous
amount of studies conducted about using communication for better client relationships,
dealing with it within accounting firms were limited and lacking. This study can help in
identifying the techniques and methods to be used in an effective communication to build a
better relationship with the clients in accounting firms.

The study identifies the gaps considered to be important in the desired communication
skills in the accounting profession including the written and oral communication skills of
accountants by reviewing the existing literatures. The study examined that the oral
communication is more important than the written communication skills. Most of the
existing studies and researches lack clarity and incomplete of literature reviews. However,
this study provided specific details about the gaps in communication in accounting such as
the gaps in the informal written and oral communication and the gaps in formal written
and oral communication that could improve the communication of the accountants. This
study can also help identify what are the needs to improve the gaps in communication
skills of accountants.

them and thus have limited knowledge with some deep accounting terms. Hence,

the information for better understandability by the users. Communication skill is one of
the key factors in making information more understandable which may give better ideas
for decision makings and making the business success. Also, having proper customer
service is important for accounting and finance staff to make clients fine and comfortable
while having a conversation. This article gives advice on how to be a successful
accounting and finance candidate not only by having business knowledge but also in how
to communicate with the users and clients.

data. Hence, when the needed information was finished, the next phase is financial
reporting which requires the communicating skills of the practitioner that can be in the
form of written or verbal approach. Written mainly focus on making the report simple and
understandable, then verbal can be channeled through telephone or can be done in
personal that requires concise information when explaining. Although written is also
required in reporting, verbal in personal approach is mainly used to easily clarify and
explain the reports, especially for non-primary users.
