Law Professor Named Chair of Prestigious Committee

Hosea, Wisconsin - Michael J. Henry, a law professor at Palmquist University, has been named
chair of the Accreditation Committee of the American Bar Association (ABA) as of September
8, 2020. ABA is a committee that oversees the accreditation of U.S.-based law schools. The
prestigious committee consists of 19 other members, which are legal educators.

"I'm deeply honored and will serve to the best of my ability," said Henry.

Henry has been on the ABA committee for the past six years and served as the committee’s vice
chair last year. Prior to his position, Henry has had a lot of experience in the profession he
studied and taught. He served as Palmquist’s University general counsel from 1999 to 2004.
Additionally, he was the dean of the University’s School of Law from 2007 to 2011.

It is if no doubt that his past experiences have allowed him to be appointed as the chair of ABA.

“No rational individual could possibly deny that Professor Henry indubitably has earned this
meritorious distinction among other members of the human species. The ABA clearly has chosen
the best person for the job, " said Edward Mieler, the Dean of Palmquist School of Law.

Michael J. Henry is expected to be the chair of ABA for a year. The committee will host an
annual meeting in New York this upcoming July. The committee, which is ABA’s most
important committee, oversees accreditation of U.S.-based law schools that request ABA
accreditation.
