Roles & Responsibilities / Job Description

1. Quality Management System


1.1. Developing & Managing Quality Management plans, policy and implementing the same as per ISO 9001:2015
1.2. To continuously review quality control processes, procedures and capabilities in order to sustain the most cost effective
and efficient methods for meeting quality requirements, and making recommendation for improvement as appropriate.
1.3. Facilitating process improvements and root cause analysis and corrective actions, drives towards continuous
improvement & monitor and report quality control progress, notifying any predicted shortfall or discrepancies against set
KPI’s.
1.4. Undertaking Quality Audits, complying with client, legal requirements.
1.5. Implementing quality tools for productivity and to reduce failure cost in the process by analysing process data and
applying statistical techniques.
1.6. To manage and direct a team of skilled, semi‐skilled and technically based individuals through sound personnel practices
such as; Performance management, Relevant and effective inductions, Identification of training needs, etc.
1.7. QA/QC Resource Management with respect Quality function liaising with production and project requirements.
1.8. Providing QA/QC support in: Business development and proposals, Projects, Site quality co-ordination and monitoring,
Quality training.
1.9. Conducts Client visit and audit for new vendor or supplier registration, qualification and new certifications.
1.10. Conducting management review meeting in line with business nature, mission and strategy. Review the inputs and
outputs of the review meeting and tasking the action plan for correction and improvement of the process and business.

2. Project Quality Assurance


2.1. Review client Quality requirements and ensure that quality control documentation for a project meets contractual
requirements.
2.2. Ensure Project Quality Deliverables Documents Preparation, Review and client approvals.
2.3. Developing Quality Management plans and implementing the same as per ISO 9001:2015, Corporate QMS & Client
project specifications.
2.4. Review and approve Contractor and sub‐contractor quality control documentation to ensure their planned activities meet
contractual requirements.
2.5. Assure project quality requirements and records are developed and maintained.
2.6. Liaise with the PMT to ensure that project contractual and quality requirements within the schedule are supported and
maintained through all stages of Construction as to ensure project completion within the specified schedule.
2.7. Development of project quality objectives, audit schedules and KPI’s as per project scope of work and company corporate
QMS.
2.8. Carry Quality audits & assessments. Implementation of corrective and preventive actions from the assessments, internal
and external audits.
2.9. Provide QA Induction to the new employees and Guide IT department to develop new software to improve Quality
Control in the organization (Weld management, Material traceability and Document control)
2.10. Monitoring weld repair statistics, analysing repairs.
2.11. Co-ordination for weekly and monthly quality meetings, providing and addressing quality concerns and actions
2.12. Project Quality resource in terms of personnel qualification, trainings, certifications and other requirements.
3. Project Quality Control
3.1. Monitoring of quality activities (material inspection, fit up, welding, testing, documentation, release) as defined within
project specification, SOW, quality plans, ITP and procedures.
3.2. Communicates verbally or in writing to the Company and Third Party with project related queries to find resolutions
3.3. Coordination with PMT and Production department for daily and weekly activities.
3.4. All quality tools and equipment’s are maintained, stored and organized to allow efficient and effective operation
3.5. Assigning responsibilities to the QC personnel in the project and monitoring performances.
3.6. Monitoring NDE (PT, MT, UT & RT) and Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) as required by specification.
3.7. Monitor and track daily welders production and rejection report.
3.8. Monitoring of Weld & Material Traceability and Weld NDT History Record. Line checking and punch listing of completed
structure prior to pre/final assembly and shipping.
3.9. Preparation and inspection of completed test packages prior to Visual test, Air test, Hydro test and Service test. Line
checking and punch listing of completed test packages prior to restoration. Liaise with the Client and TPI for daily
inspection activities and send RFI.
3.10. Ensure all documents such as IFC Drawings, QC Procedures and Welding Procedure Specifications are approved and
available at site.
3.11. Foreseeing client inspections, weekly look ahead plans and construction schedule.

4. Welding Engineering
4.1. Development of training plan, PQR’s & WPS, managing welding history of the company.
4.2. Qualification and training of welders with continuity and all relevant reports and documentation
4.3. Reviewing consumable test certificates, inspection of incoming welding consumables, calibration of welding
machines, ovens and welding tools, etc.
4.4. Scheduling and planning training of welders in welding school, coordinate with Welding Manager to identify
and manage improvement opportunities, at the level of Welders’ skills, trainings provided and welding
material.
4.5. Monitor site welding materials handling and overall quality control system of welding activities, material and
storage of material.
4.6. Monitor & Prepare weekly and monthly welder performance reports, welder and project repair rates, analysis
of the repair and remedial actions to control the repair rates.
4.7. Ensure site welding activities are sound and in accordance to approved WPS, project scope, specification and
procedures.
4.8. Conduct weekly welder and consumable store audit, raise internal NCR and suggest improvements and
corrective actions.
4.9. Raising Technical query within company and to clients for clarifications and suggestion.
4.10. Provide support to business development team in proposals and tenders with respect to welding engineering
scope i.e. reviewing of MTO, applicable codes and standards, availability of procedures etc.
