Performance management is combination of activities and processes that focus on


areas related to motivating employees, developing skills, assess resources and support
required and set accountability to improve and sustain employee performance,
keeping it in line with the objective of the organization. Performance management
helps teams to measure their progress while effectively helping them to track the
output. It helps in analyzing team productivity and provides means to present
impartial feedback and support members to achieve their goals.
2. Leadership behaviors are characteristics and traits which helps a person to guide,
govern and influence the work of their team. Some of the beneficial leadership
behaviors at specific organizational activities are-
a) Project management- Exhibiting drive for results by focusing on assignments that
need to be completed, regardless of the barriers.
b) Setting up Vision- Leading teams in creating and recognizing organizational
vision and core values.
c) Innovation- Building an ecosystem to empower the teams to take intuitive risks.
d) Ethics- Leading with principles in all organizational tasks and interactions.
e) Success- Creating short- and long-term goals and focusing on factors affecting
organization’s success in the marketplace.
3. Organizational Capabilities-
a. Roles and collaboration mechanism- Helps in understanding specific
responsibilities, coordination between team members and puts effective

b. Leadership- Capable individual and team leaders in an organization empowers
the teams to bring in strategical approach to problem solving.

Both the capabilities complement each other since leadership drives creation of
teams’ responsibility and collaboration while both are different in the specific
function, where the teams collaborates and get tasks done whereas leadership is
involved in the overall management and organization’s growth at the macro level.
