My name is Alyssa Li. And I am 18 years old graduated from City Vancouver
Academy high school. I am seeking for the customer service
representative position that Medigas company offers. I have been working
as a service representative in Homeless Shelter Charity and Spring Bud
project which is a non-profit project helps homeless children in poverty.
During these experiences, I realize I am really good at dealing with people
and communicating. It would be a joy and pleasure working in Medigas as a
customer service representative.
Story:
When I was a volunteer at homeless shelter project, one of the people ask me
to ship some peanut butter to her at dinner, however, we don’t have any
jams or butter in there. To solve this problem, I use the “compliment
sandwich” method – Give them a compliment, tell them the bad news, then
end with another compliment.
So my answer is: “Well, Mrs., we really appreciate you telling us about this
situation. Unfortunately, since it’s a home shelter charity, not all stuffs
such as peanut butter can be offered here. And there’s nothing we can do
to resolve it. To make it up to you, we can give you extra coffee or hot
tea. Would you like to have another cup?” And finally, the lady who asked
for peanut butter agree to take an extra cup of tea and problem solved
successfully.
One smart question: What do you expect from team members in this position?
