CLOSING
A. Conclusion

Some patients may need to be bathed in bed. Other patients with the doctor's
permission are allowed to bathe in the tub or shower. Bath treatment with warm water and
gentle soap is given to remove dirt and sweat, improve circulation and provide mild
exercise to patients (Hegner, 2003).

The patient's room regardless of the bed is a home for the patient while he is in the
hospital. A neat bed provides security and comfort which is very important for the well-
being of patients (Hegner, 2003).
Bathing the patient is a nursing action performed on patients who are unable to bathe
independently or need help. By cleaning the patient with soap and water.

The importance of bathing the patient, namely in order to clean the skin and eliminate body
odor to provide a sense of comfort, stimulate blood circulation, as a treatment, prevent skin
infections, and educate patients in personal hygiene. The most important thing is to maintain
patient privacy, lest the patient feel embarrassed.

B. Suggestion
