Example: “Green” branding of businesses has gone too far and no longer carries the same sort of impact it once did.
Today, so many people are concerned with the environment that many businesses try to represent themselves as being
“green.” They want to have a reputation for being environmentally conscious.
In the business world, it is the organization's culture sets standards for determining the difference between
good and bad decision making and behavior. It is a form of applied ethics or professional ethics, that examines
ethical principles and moral or ethical problems that can arise in a business environment.

STUDENT’S LOGIC: Provides learners with an opportunity to reflect and think about how they actually solve problems and how
a particular set of problem solving strategies is appropriate for achieving their goal. What is to be accomplished/learned?
Example: In support of the Supermarket “Green” initiatives, I bring my own shopping bags for grocery shopping and
say no to plastic bags.
Entering the business world it is important for us to set standards for us to know the differences of
making a good or bad decision that will make an impact to our business or in a certain organization
we are in.

I learned in our prayer that We should thank God in every situation in our daily life. To thank Him for His protection and His
guidance towards us. I learned that we need to surrender everything to Him, for if we seek Him, everything will follow.
My action today is to listen to our professor’s discussion and learn how we can apply it in our daily lives.

In our lessons for today, I have learned about:

1. It is an act regulating the practice of accountancy in the Philippines, repealing for the purpose
presidential decree no. 692, otherwise known as the revised accountancy law, appropriating
funds therefor and for other purposes.
2. Section 5. The Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy and its Composition- The
Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy, hereinafter referred to as Board
3. Under the supervision and administrative control of the Professional Regulation Commission,
hereinafter referred to as the Commission, shall composed of a
4. Chairman and six (6) members to be appointed by the President of the Philippines from a list
of three (3) recommendees for each position and ranked by the Commission from

6. The Board shall elect a vice-chairman from among each member for a term of one (1) year.
7. The chairman shall preside in all meetings of the Boards and in the event of a vacancy in the
office of the chairman, the vice-chairman shall assume such duties and responsibilities until
such time as a chairman is appointed.
8. One of the qualifications of a members of the Professional Regulatory Board must be a duly
registered CPA with at least ten (10) years of work experience in any scope of practice of
accountancy.
9. Another must be a good moral character and must not have been convicted of crimes involving
moral turpitude.
10. It must be a natural-born citizen and a resident of the Philippines.
