EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Geography
Rehti is a small town located in the seehore district in the state of Madhya Pradesh at 22.73◦ N
77.43◦ E. It has an average elevation of 303 meters (994 feet) above mean sea level. Rehti was
ruled under the nawabs of Bhopal.
It is located near Vindhyachal Range and surrounded by mountains, it is endowed with natural
resources which are used in the manufacturing of herbal product.

Climate
Rehti mainly has a moderate climate. From October to February the temperature there is 12 C
min to 27C and from March to June temperature is 35C to 48 C. The average rainfall there is
about 200 cm. Winters are moderately cool and summers are lightly hot. Monsoon arrives
there in June till August. Rains brings greenery around everywhere in the city.

Demographics
The Rehti nagar panchayat has population of 11,611 of which 6,062 are males while 5,549 are
females as per report released by census India 2011. Population of children with age of 0-6 is
1,525 which is 13.13% of total population of Rehti(NP). In Rehti Nagar Panchayat, female sex
ratio is of 915 against a state average of 931. Child sex ratio is around 851 compared to a state
average 918. Literacy rate of Rehti is 80.57% higher than state average of 918. Literacy rate of
Rehti is 88.03% while female literacy rate is 72.50%. Rehti Nagar Parishad has total
administration over 2,215 houses to which it supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
It is also authorized to built roads with in Nagar Panchayat limits and impose taxes on
properties coming under its jurisdiction.

Political view
Rehti is a City Municipality in Sehore District in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Rehti is
divided into IS wards for which elections are held every 5 years. Seehore is surrounded by seven
district i.e. Bhopal, Raisen, Hoshangabad, Dewas, Shajapur, Raigarh, and harda. Seehore stand
in the foothills of vindhyachal range in the middle of malwa region. After formation of Madhya
Pradesh , the state capital Bhopal was once a part of seehore district until it was bifurcated in
1972 and a new district Bhopal was formed.

Connectivity & Linkage


Rehti lies on SH-222 which is connected to NH-12 from Bhopal. It is located at a distance of 72
kms from Bhopal and 92 km from seehore city. Budhni railway station is the nearest railway
station which lies on western central rail track between Bhopal & itarsi junction. Nearest airport
is at Bhopal.

Economy
Out of total population, 3,738 were engaged in work or business activity. Of this 3,130 were
males while 608 were females. Of total 3,738 working population, 86.76% were engaged in
Main Work while 13.24% of total workers were engaged in Marginal Work.

Tourism
Salkanpur Temple & delawadi Jungle camp is a famous site near Rehti. It is just 5 km & 18 km
from Rehti. The delawadi forests are also nearby.

Project Introduction and Methodology

Background
the Government of Madhya Pradesh (GoMP) has lunch a scheme CM INFRA PHASE Ill under this
scheme by Considering the urbanization and increasing population admitted in the state
preparation of new Urban Infrastructure and maintenance the existing urban structure work
done in ULB according to WADD guideline work to be taken under the Scheme and Financial
structure. The process of preparing DPR and implementation of project .

Chief Minister Urban Development Infrastructure Phase Ill out of total limit of 536 crores 20%
(136) Cr. From State government and remaining 80% of total amount 400Cr. For 4 year of
Financial year 2020-21 to 2023-24 is granted. Under this Scheme Loan of is provided by
MPUDC /Government institute/national, Scheduled and other Private Bank/HUDCO has been
allotted 400Cr. And given to the ULBs as per to the Project requirement 75% of total amount of
loan and its interest is paid by State Government and 25% of total loan amount and its interest
Paid by the ULBs in a tenor of 15 years. If any ULBs is unaviable to paid loan amount and intrest
the remaining amount is paid by the Directorate (UADD) and compensated by the ULB by other
Grants.

PROJECT SCENARIO

General
The project planning & investigation is backbone of project development and lays the
foundation for its successful implementation and economical operation and maintenance. The
chapter covers various aspects of project planning and investigation, data collection, survey,
design considerations, environmental considerations.

Objective of Planning & Investigation


The objective of planning and investigation is to provide detailed information about the type
and topography of the land, detail of existing drains, land use pattern, network of roads,
culverts and railway lines etc. which required due consideration in planning augmentation of
drainage system in the city. The following aspects need to be considered while planning &
investigating for development of a drainage system:

Data collection, Survey & investigation:


Before start of field survey, sufficient desk work should be carried out using the existing detail
and that should be corroborated by field visit and discussions with local community and
municipal officials. This interactive process should be repeated to prepare a comprehensive
workable plan.
