POSITION: MARKET ACCESS MANAGER

LOCATION: CANADA

DEPARTMENT: MARKET ACCESS & BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE

RESPONSIBLE TO:
Senior Manager, Market Access & Public Relations

POSITION SUMMARY:
The main purpose of this position is to design, develop and implement activities that
enable LEO Pharma to secure optimal reimbursement and realize the maximum
commercial potential of current and future LEO Pharma products marketed in Canada.
Your actions will enhance the effectiveness of the sales and marketing groups and
further develop the reputation of LEO Pharma as a credible, research-based
pharmaceutical organization that brings high value products to stakeholders in Canada.

JOB INTERACTIONS AND INTERFACE:


This position requires building/ maintaining relationships with both internal/ external
customers including: Canadian LEO Pharma team (including sales and marketing
organization), Corporate market access, Individual physicians, political and patient KOLs,
and with key organizations, and Select payer organizations

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Help create and maintain a strategic market access Plan for LEO Pharma
products
 Design, prepare, and tender relevant submissions to gain positive outcomes
from Common Drug Review (CDR), public and private formularies as well as
institutional buying groups/agencies
 Build relevant, solid value arguments with supporting health economic and
budget impact analysis (BIA) models
 Remain current regarding the external market access environment
 Ensure all relevant scientific / sales / and business data needed is available in a
timely manner
 Identify key opinion leaders (KOLs) and their organizational relationships in key
stakeholder groups (payer, patient and physician)
 Assist with the development and implementation of public relations and
government affairs strategy as it pertains to the market access environment
 Interface on regular basis with key internal stakeholders to review and address
their challenges

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:


 This position is based at the LEO Pharma head office in Thornhill Ontario
 Ability and willingness to travel locally and internationally

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:


 Minimum 3 years’ experience in market access or health economics in the
pharmaceutical industry, with a comprehensive understanding of the pricing
/reimbursement environment and the government/payer review process
 Understanding or experience in public relations and/ or government affairs
 Bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, health economics or related discipline
 Knowledge and experience preparing and submitting dossiers to the CDR and
provincial formularies
 Ability to review and analyze business and medical data
 Project management skills and experience
 Excellent communication and presentation skills
 Ability to work competently in software programs including Word, Excel and
Powerpoint
 Ability to work well in both a team environment and independently
