Parent Getting Started

Loading
Loading screen: Default language on the first open app is English.

When open the app, loading screen will be displayed.

After completed, a pop-up message about preferred language for user

selection: "Please select a language that you prefer to display on the
application."

The pop-up is displayed until parents select a language. After selected, it

will be removed and default language is set.

Register

Login screen: Within the Login screen, parent must input their email for logging in.

If email exist in the system and parents have not registered yet. An
register email will be sent to parents email along with verification code.
Parents will be moved to Verification code step.

Verification code is numeric and created random by the system.

Parents can't input an email address which length is greater than 100
characters.

Any interruption during register steps, parents must re-do these

manipulations at the beginning.

Warning messages:

Email doesn't exist in the system, message says: "Your email does not
exist. Please contact VAS admin for support".

Email is invalid format, message says: "Invalid email format".

Without inputting Email, message says: "Please enter an email address".

Verification code screen: Parents must input verification code which is retrieved from the register
email. If code is correct, the system transit parent to Create Password
step.

If didn't receive email, parents can click the Resend link in order for
system to resend the register email.

Warning messages:

Without imputing code, message says: "Please input verification code."

Incorrect verification code, message says: "You code is incorrect. Please

try again.". Inputted code will be cleared.

Enter password screen: Parents must input password in both fields with following conditions:

Password must be at least 8 characters.

Re-enter password must be matched with enter password.

Parents can't input password which length is greater than 255 characters.

The system will auto login after successful registration.

Parents must tick the check box to agree with the "Terms & Conditions"
before completing the registration.

Warning messages:

Without inputting password or uncheck "Term & Conditions" checkbox,

message says: "Please fill out this field."

Password's length is less than 8 digits, message says: "Password must

be at least 8 characters."

Re-enter password does not match with enter password, message says: "
Password is not matched."

Login

Login screen: Within the Login screen, parent must input their email for logging in.

If email exist in the system and parents already register before, Password
field is displayed for inputting.

If parents input a correct password, the system transit parents to

homepage screen (Announcement screen)

Warning messages:

Without inputting password, message says: "Please input your password."

Password is incorrect, message says: "Your password is incorrect.

Please try again."

Forgot Password

Login screen: Within the Login screen, if parents forget their password, click the Forgot
password link to move to Forgot password steps.

Any interruption during forgot password steps, parents must re-do these
manipulations at the beginning.

Enter your email address screen: Parents must input their email and click the Continue button to move to
step: Input verification code.

Change language
Login screen: There are two ways that parents can change the language:

1. Within the Login screen.

2. Within the menu.

The application will change to the selected language afterward.

Change Password

Menu screen: Within the menu, parents click Change Password to move to the change
password screen.

Change password screen: Parents must enter the old password, new password and confirm new
password. Click Save new password button to save password and re-
direct to homepage (announcement screen).

Password must be at least 8 characters.

Parents can't input password which length is greater than 255 characters.

Confirm password must be matched with the new password.

Warning messages:

Without inputting password, message says: "Please fill out this field."

Password's length is less than 8 digits, message says: "Password must

be at least 8 characters."

Confirm password does not match with the new password, message
says: "Password is not matched."

Incorrect old password, message says: "Password is incorrect."

Logout

Menu screen: Within the menu, parents click Log out to log out from the system and
move to the Login screen.

Parents / Students Profile

Parents profile
Within the menu, parents click User Profile to view the information.

 Parents can update the avatar, parents must select a section in the image
to set avatar. Image is selected form the camera or photos.

All fields are disabled for update, it only enable if parents click the
Request Update button. After submitted changed information, the system
will record the change request.

If email's parent changed after admin updated in Engage system and

sync to parent portal, parent will use new email for logging in.

Fields length as follows. If parents input greater than it, content will be
trimmed.

Parent Name: 1 - 255 characters

Parent Relationship: select an option from the list.
Parent Email: 1 - 100 characters
Parent Contact Number: 1 - 50 characters

Without inputting fields, message says: "Please fill out this field."

Email is invalid format, message says: "Invalid email format".

Students Profile

 Within the menu, parents click Student Profile to view the information.

 Within the student list, parent click each student section to view student
detailed information.

Along with student full name, the system will display student grade class, s
tudent status

 All fields are disabled for update, If parents click the Request Update
button, they are only allowed to change date of birth & name of student.
After submitted changed information, the system will record the change
request.

Date of birth is date-picker with format DD-MMM-YYYY. Parents can not

select a date in the future. Year range from 2000 to current.

Fields length as follows. If parents input greater than it, content will be
trimmed.

Student Name: 1 - 150 characters

Click View School Report link to move to student school report screen.

Warning messages:

Without inputting fields, message says: "Please fill out this field."

 Parents can select School Year and Period to list all student reports.

Click view link to view report as PDF viewer.

After viewed, click download icon to download student report.

Announcement & Notification

Announcement
Default homepage is announcement list includes:

Announcement title
Announcement date creation
Announcement description

Depending on students campus, year group and grade class that parents
can see the appropriated announcements.

Announcements are sorted by descending date.

Notification

 Within the menu, parents click the notification icon to view all notification
(sort by descending date).

Notifications in App will describe which notification is applied.

A notification block includes:

Notification name
Date created
Description: display content in 4 rows. If more, it will be hidden.

Parents clicks notification block to view the notification details.
