A Gantt Chart is a standard format for displaying project schedule information by listing project
activities and their corresponding start and finish dates in a calendar format.

The main steps involved in creating a Gantt Chart in Excel are:
1. Start with a new workbook and enter the task data.
2. Create a stacked horizontal bar chart.
3. Select the data; right mouse click anywhere inside the blank chart, then choose Select Data.
4. Add legend entries (series); as many as is needed.
5. Edit the labels.
6. Remove the chart's legend.
7. Remove start data series.
8. Reverse the order of the y-axis labels.
9. Adjust the date range as necessary.

The main steps involved in creating a Gantt Chart using Microsoft Project are:
1. Create a project file.
2. Enter project information, such as start date.
3. Enter tasks, such as typing the name of the task in the Task Name field.

5. Add supplementary information to tasks such as notes.
6. Set task durations.
7. Identify dependencies, or the relationships, among tasks.
8. Schedule certain tasks to achieve specific dates when necessary.
